2007 Open Tennis tourney ends

The 2007 open tennis championship ended on Sunday at the Independence Stadium, Bakau. 
The championship was organised by the Gambia Tennis Association and was open to all categories.

After a competitive tourney, Ba Suruwa Conteh emerged the winner in the Men’s Single, while Andy Milford finished as the first runner up.
Tendai Mauwa prevailed the queen in the Ladies’ Single after edging out Katherine Osiru in a breath-taking final.

Giant trophies and certificates were presented to the various winners in the various categories.
Sheriff Jammeh, President of The Gambia Tennis Association, expressed delight in the large turn out the tourney registered. He also hailed juniors who participated with great interest.
