Gambia U-17 Leave for Egypt Today

he Gambia U-17 side will leave Banjul today for Egypt, as part of a one month preparatory training camp ahead of the 8tth African U-17 championship in Algeria in March.

Seedy MB Kinteh, president of the Gambia Football Association, speaking to Pointsports yesterday, stated that the Darling Scorpions will be leaving this evening for Egypt via Dakar to undergo an intensive training camp.

He revealed that the team will be proceeding to Algeria at the end of the one month camp.

It will be recalled that in 2005, The Gambia U-17 side after having a successful training camp in Egypt went ahead toclaimthe title for the first time in the history of The Gambia, in Banjul.
