BAC vandal convicted

The Brikama Magistrates Court last Tuesday convicted one Seku Singhateh for causing damage to the windows of the Brikama Area Council.

According to the facts of the case, the convict on 28 November went on the rampage at the Brikama Area Council by smashing the council’s doors and windows thereby causing considerable damage to the properties.

He admitted his guilt.

Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh, who presided over the case, said he was not going to send the convict to Mile 2 but would refer him to the Campama Hospital until this Friday. In the meantime, he will familarise himself with the law that is related to people with mental problems. During the proceedings, it was revealed that the convict was once in Campama for 9 months.
