The Kanifing Magistrates Court presided over by Sainabou Wadda, on Monday granted bail to one Lamin Maria who is standing trial threatening to kill a human being.
According to the particulars, in October 2008, the accused tried to intimidate and annoy one Ahmed Muhammed by sending him a text message which read; “If you don’t honor your words, I will kill you.”
When the charge sheet was read to the accused in Mandinka, he pleaded not guilty. The magistrate then granted him bail in the sum of D5,000 with one Gambian surety. The case was adjourned to 8th December 2008 for continuation.
