Katchically United beat Ron Mango on Sunday to meet Jazz FC in the Bakau Western Union sponsored league cup final. Katchically United had to wait for a post-match spot kick to decide the winner, after a goalless draw in the regulation. Earlier on Saturday, November 3, Jazz FC berthed a place in the final after a lone goal victory over Saul Samba.

The two sides who emerged from the same group will now square-up against each other in a mouth-watering final, the date of which is yet to be decided by the Bakau Zonal & Sports Committee.

In the knock-out competition, Scan Tours FC will meet in the final, the winner in Saul Samba and Banda semi-final match which will be played today at the Bakau Mini-stadium.

Serrekunda East

Bantaba United on Sunday beat Macassa FC to clinch Serrekunda East knock-out title. A seventh-minute goal from the Bantaba side separated the two sides throughout the regulation. The defeat has dashed Maccasa’s hopes of claiming double at Serrekunda East.

As champions, Bantaba received a giant trophy and a cash prize of D7,000, sponsored by the Serrekunda East Sports Committee, while the Maccasa sides solaced themselves with a consolation prize of D5,000.

Bantaba’s Modou Jarju also walked away with a Brigadier-General, Lang Tombong Tamba sponsored cash prize of D500 as the Best Player.

Despite falling to Bantaba in the knock-out final, Maccasa still have one more chance to prove a point as they geared up to face FC Milan in the Western Union sponsored league cup final scheduled for Sunday, November 11.

Serrekunda West

The Kotu giants, Tigers United, prevailed in the Serrekunda West knock-out final with a hard-fought 1-0 win over New Jeshwang United on Saturday, November 3. Tigers received a cash prize of D10,000 and a giant trophy as winners, while New Jeshwang received D7,000.

 

Brufut

In Brufut, Sait Matty and Pandoras are through to the league cup final after both sides edged out their respective opponents during their weekend semi-final fixtures.

Sait Matty ease past City Limits with a 3-2 victory on Friday to berth a spot in the final, before Pandoras joined the fray the following day after a lone goal victory over Nyaffulen United.
