At least 100 students and two teachers from Glory Baptist Senior Secondary School last week visited the Traditional Medicine and Home care Foundation Centre in Brufut Ghana Town.
In an interview with the Daily Observer, Mr. Bangura, a teacher at Glory Baptist Senior Secondary School said the purpose of their visit is to sensitise students on traditional medicine, as well as the role of traditional healers in society.
He added that the students were taken on a conducted tour of the premises by Dr Alhassan Ibn Abubakar, who briefed them on their operational system and how to cure or treat patients.
The visiting students also met Saihou B. Fofana, Deputy Technical Director and Ousman Ceesay, Field Co-ordinator.
The men expressed delight on the visit, and encouraged others to emulate Glory Baptist Senior Secondary School so as to learn more about traditional medicine.
