Sukuta Murder Case Reaches Corridors of Justice

A certain Kalilou Conteh recently appeared before a magistrates’ court on charges of killing his friend’s wife in Sukuta.

According to the facts of the matter as recounted in court, Kalilu sometime this year paid a visit to his friend’s house but could not meet him. However, the facts say, he was able to meet the friend’s wife with whom she exchanged pleasantries.

Shortly after the exchange of greetings, Kalilou pulled out a pistol and shot down the friend’s wife and bolted, the facts say.

The wife, Joko Camara, was rushed to RVTH in Banjul where she was hospitalized but was later pronounced dead after giving birth to a baby, the facts added.

Hearing into the matter is now set to begin on August, 27 at the Bundung Magistrates’ Court to be chaired by magistrate Buba Jawo.
