Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbake of the Kanifing Magistrates court, on Monday, convicted and sentenced one Dembo Jatta.
He was found guilty of being unlawfully armed and stealing. According to the particulars of the offense, Dembo Jatta, was on the 18th of September 2008 found armed with an iron bar at the Serekunda market.
He was also accused of breaking into the shop of one Emmanuel Anene on the 1st of September 2008. Despite his plea of mitigation, the senior magistrate sentenced the accused to 6 months imprisonment.
