In an innovation-driven industry like the software industry corporate success is almost exclusively determined by the employees and their knowledge and innovative strength.
Taken much wisdom from above truism, the Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) is currently showing no sign of slowing down in building the capacity of its workforce in the area of Information Technology (IT).
Just last Thursday a total number of 32 staff of GRA were awarded certificates after successfully completing an intensive training course on IT at the Quantum Net Institute for Technology.
Speaking at graduation ceremony held at the Institute grounds along the Kairaba Avenue, the Managing Director of Quantum Net Institute for Technology, Mr Muhammad Jah said the training is a fruit of a collaborative agreement between the government of the Gambia and the World Bank for the provision of a tax administration software system known as Gambia Tax Net. He revealed that the training was aimed at building the capacity of the staff of GRA on basic computer use so as to enable them to handle and operate the software effectively and efficiently.
