GWA Honours Development Partners

In its drive to recognize the sterling contribution of its key development partners towards changing the lives of the people of Gunjur, the Gunjur Welfare Association (GWA) last Sunday held an awards presentation ceremony which was held at the village grounds.

A certificate of appreciation was given to George Simpson, a medical doctor from the UK and Black and White Car Dealers for their valuable contribution towards the development of Gunjur Health Centre.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Chairman of GWA Alhagie Bambo Janneh, said his association was founded in the late ‘80s by Gunjurians to provide welfare support to patients from Gunjur and its environs, adding that since its inception the association has actively engaged in a series of humanitarian services.

Turning to the awardees, Mr Janneh emphasized that Mr George Simpson has had a good working relationship with his colleagues at the Gunjur Health Centre and that he has been very supportive to GWA. He also paid tribute to the Black and White Car Company for having generously assisted his association adding that the company built the ward and provided water tanks and pumping machines for the health centre.
