New Miss Bakau Queen crowned

Miss Amie Khan has been crowned Miss Bakau 2007 in a keenly contested beauty pageant held at the prestigious Sunbeach Hotel and Resort in Cape Point, Bakau. At the spectacular beauty parade which was punctuated with live performances by prominent Gambian artists, included Freaky Joe, Jalex, K-Man G, King Salano, among others, Miss Princess Shingle emerged as the 1st Runner-up. Running after her was Miss Tako Camara, while Miss Naffie Jasseh took home the 3rd Runner-up title.
 
Miss Oumie was awarded as Miss Photogenic, Miss Mariama Barry as Miss Entertainer, and Miss Agi Amie Joof went home with the Best African Dress title, while young but pretty looking Miss Awa won the Best Casual title.
 
Mrs. Fatima Jabbi-Soley and her husband, Gambian international Seyfo Soley, were in attendance. Hundreds of people attended this year’s edition, which packed with fun. Bravo to Bycaw and Mr. Williams Brown for a successful organisation of the event.
