Dangam Are Champions of Busumbala

A penalty scored in the second half by Ablie Saho has earned Dangam FC the most awaited title heavily contested together with their opponents Keith FC last weekend in the Busumbala league championship.

 The match, played at the Busumbala football field, was a replayed final following a goal-less draw by both teams on December 25, 2007.

The first half of the encounter was filled with display of talents, zeal and determination by both teams and it ended 0-0.

In the 53rd minute of the second half a penalty, which was masterfully scored by Ablie Saho, dashed the hopes of Keith FC and proved decisive.

The organisers of the tournament, Busumbala Youths and Sports Committee presented a giant trophy and cash prize of D8,000.00 . An amount of D5,000.00 was given to Keith FC as runners up.

Bai Mustapha Jarju assistant Secretary General of the committee described the tourney as very successful. He commended Solo Marreh sponsor of the Knockout tournament which was won by Golden FC.
