Infanticide in Sanchaba Sulay Jobe

One Jainaba Jallow, a native of Sanchaba Sulay Jobe was on Monday arraiged before Senior Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara of the Bundung Magistrate Court charged with infanticide .

Jainaba Jallow pleaded not guilty to the charge of causing the death of her child under the age of twelve months at Sanchaba Sulay Jobe.

The Police prosecutor Corporal 510 Touray, told the court that his witnesses are not in court and applied for an adjournment of the case to enable his witnesses to appear in court.

Lawyer Bachilly who announced his representation for the accused (Jainaba) raise no objective to the prosecutor’s application.

Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara urged the prosecutor to bring his witnesses on the next adjournment to enable the case to proceed. She then adjourned the case to April 9.
