Briton Returns to Court

Francis Bart Vanlier, the Briton who was earlier last year charged with threatening violence by firing a shot, was on Tuesday at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court but his case could not continue.

Francis is now expected to return to court on 12 February following the failure of the prosecution officer to show up.

The middle-aged Briton was, in 2007, charged with threatening one Mamadi Saidy and Lamin Manjang at Kending Sebel by firing a single-barrel gun with intent to commit a felony.

Francis has since denied any wrongdoing.
