Gambia eye two Italian coaches

Mass Axi Gai, secretary of state for Youth and Sport, has revealed that The Gambia government, through his department of state, has finalised the signing of two Italian coaches for the national teams. He said the two Italians will be in Banjul soon to charge of their duties.

The duo, he said, will include Rubinacci who will serve as developmental coach, while his colleague will serve as a goalkeeper coach.

This move, according to SoS Gai, is a lucid testimony of the importance attached to football development by his department.

As development coaches, the Italians will not only serve at the national team levels but will also endeavour to develop the country’s grassroot football.
