Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Brikama Court has granted bail to Modou Manneh who is standing trial for stealing D1,000,000 collected by him as officer responsible for government revenue at the Yundum Police Station.
When the case was called last Tuesday, the Prosecuting Officer Colley told the court that he will not be proceeding with the case as investigations are still going on.
Before adjourning the case, Magistrate Jammeh granted the accused bail noting that the offense is bailable.
The court finally granted the accused bail in the sum of D1.5M or two Gambian sureties with landed properties worth that amount within the Greater Banjul Area.
