Teacher Hits D141, 600 GNL Jackpot

One Mr. Buba Fatty, a teacher by profession residing in Brufut Kombo North Western Region, on Thursday 20th January 2009 won D141, 600 from The Gambia National Lottery (GNL).

Speaking at the presentation ceremony held at GNL headquarters in Kanifing,  the managing director of GNL, Dembo Fanta Bojang, reminded their valuable customers that the company is committed to eradicating poverty among Gambians adding that more jackpots are on the way. He urged them to prepare for Tuesday and Wednesday jackpots where huge sums of money will be at stake.

For her part, Mrs. Mai Bah, marketing officer with GNL, revealed that more than 140,000 were played last week. Mrs. Bah informing the gathering that more jackpots are to be won while thanking the lucky winners, including Buba Fatty, for their loyalty to the company.

Speaking to reporters shortly after the ceremony, the delighted Buba Fatty said he has been playing jackpot for the past 15 years noting that Friday was his luckiest day as he won D141, 600. According to Mr. Fatty, he will use the money to help his family thus improved their standard of living. He thanked The Gambia National Lottery for creating such a productive market for Gambians and urged his fellow players to continue playing jackpot stressing that their luck will also come one day.
