Omar Ndow redeployed as DoSCIIT goes to president’s office

The Gambian leader, Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh, has effected a minor change in Cabinet, according to a press release from the Office of the President, as reproduced bellow.

His Excellency the president of the Republic of The Gambia, Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh, acting under the provisions of section 71(4)(b) of the constitution of the Republic of The Gambia has decided to redeploy Omar Ndow, secretary of state for Communications, Information and Information Technology to GAMTEL as executive chairman for Technical Matters with Immediate effect.

This decision came about after due consultation and mutual consent. The portfolio of secretary of state for communications, Information and Information Technology has been brought under the Office of the President for the time being.
