The Kanifing Magistrates Court, presided over by Acting Principal Magistrate Sainabou Wadda-Ceesay, on Tuesday sentenced one Ismaila Joof to pay a fine of D300 in default to serve one month imprisonment.
According to the particulars of the offense, Ismaila Joof stole a Nokia mobile phone valued at D6000 in Dippa Kunda on January 28, 2009. The phone was said to be the property of one Bakary Camara. In addition to the fine, the convict was also given a six-month jail term.
