Kuntaur Area Council supports 35 students

The Kuntaur Area Council recently disbursed a sum of sixty thousand dalasis to both the Kuntaur Upper and Senior Secondary Schools for the payment of tuition fees, book bills, IT fees and school fees for thirty-five students.

Speaking at the ceremony, the chief executive officer of the Kuntaur Area Council, Kebba Drammeh, said the idea is to help the needy, who could not afford to meet their educational expenses.  He said that investing in youths, is investing in the the future.  
Accordng to him, his council has a great ambition to increase the number of students in the administrative area.  He then called on the beneficiaries to make best use of the chance accorded to them.

Mamat Mbye, the chairman of the Kuntaur Area Council, called on the people of the area to pay their rates and taxes, to enable the council establish sub-projects under their local governmenr area as curently, they are left with four other sub-projects which will be established as soon as they secure the funds.  He also advised the students to read their books at home and called on parents to monitor the performance of their children
