In a bid to promote quality education in The Gambia, Karmic Angels, an international charitable organisation registered in The Gambia by a British couple - Stephanie and Alan Turner - last Saturday visited Brikama Madina Nursery School in Brikama Madina and pledged to reconstruct the whole school.
The reconsturction will include classroom blocks, toilets, installation electricity and water for the school. Speaking at the school grounds recently after an inspection of the school, Sidi Gassama, a member of the Village Development Community, recalled the establishment of the school years back. He revealed that the school was built when the community realised the importance of early childhood education. According to Gassama, water will be an important component of the project as the whole community is badly in need of it.
Stephanie and Alan Turner revealed that the whole project will last for four years. They urged the community to make the project a self-help project and participate actively to ensure its success. Buba Gitteh, Alkalo of Brikama Madina, gave assurance that the whole community will participate towards the project. He thanked Karmic Angels for their magnanimous assistant.
