At least seventy-five health workers in the Central River Region on Wednesday November 12 concluded a three-day training workshop on Intermittent Preventive Treatment (IPT) at the Regional Health Office’s resource centre in Bansang.

The training was sponsored by the Global Fund through the National Malaria Control Programme and drew participants from different health facilities in the region.

In his remarks, the CRR regional health officer, Karmba F Keita, noted that equipping the health workers with the knowledge on IPTC would go a long way in reducing the incidence of malaria in pregnancy. The regional public health officer, Jaligeh Nget, urged them to make best use of the training.
