The IT Network of the Muslim Senior Secondary School in Banjul, in collaboration with Bregadsskolan in Karlskoga of Sweden, on Friday November 7 were received at Armitage Senior Secondary School in Janjangbureh, CRR.

The principal of Armitage, Ebrima Joof, in his welcoming remarks, dwelt on the history of Armitage noting that the school was established in 1927 by the then governor, Sir Cecil Armitage, for sons of chiefs (traditional rulers numbering 35) in the country.

He further stated that with the increase in population and demand, the admission policy changed to cater for children of ordinary citizens.  He elucidated that the aim of the school was to absorb these elites into the local government administration upon completion of their studies.

The Gambian coordinator of the link, Abdoulie Ceesay, said they established the link with Armitage a year ago and their aim is to strengthen it.
The Swedish students were led by Pia Hekam.
