Interior FC Top The Female League

The first round of the Female League Championship, last Sunday ended at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

Interior are currently leaders in the First Division of the female league with 15 points from 5 games, closely followed by Company Ten who managed to collect 12 points from their last five matches after their hard-fought 3-2 victory over Kinteh United last Sunday.

Abuko United in third place, had registered 6 points from four matches with a game in hand against fourth place, Red Scorpion, both of whom collected 6 points but Abuko had a better goal advantage.

Red Scorpion is followed by Kinteh United who managed to secure only 1 win in five fixtures and the Bakau girls are second from bottom, with 3 points. They only managed to score 3 goals, two of which came by courtesy of striker Hella Diko.

Meanwhile, Makasutu whose poor performance in the female league is showing no sign of ending, had suffered third defeat of the season, with a humiliating 8-nil defeat to Abuko United earlier in the week- four fixtures before conceding another five-one thrashing in the hands of Red Scorpions, which ended in controversy last Saturday.
