Lamin
Singhateh, an ex-police officer, was on the 12th February
2009
convicted and warned to keep the peace for a period of six months, following
his own plea of guilty on a charge of theft.
He was
arraigned before Acting Principal Magistrate Sainabou Wadda- Ceesay of the
Kanifing Magistrates’ Court.
According
to the particulars of offence, the accused on or about the
24th January 2009 at Africell Headquarters along Kairaba Avenue stole 20 liters of gas oil from a
vehicle that was parked there, being the property of Africell.
