The economic crime case involving one Mass Jeng a customs officer has been adjourned again by Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Brikama Magistrates Court to December 16.
The decision to adjourn the case came after the prosecuting officer expressed his wish to tender certain documents in the court. The defenses counsel then said they needed time to look at the documents properly.
At that juncture, the magistrate said that the court would adjourn the case to allow the defense to peruse the documents involved in order to avoid a trial by ambush. Mass Jeng is charged with stealing over D2m.
Three witnesses have already testified and the fourth, Ya Haddy Jeng-Njie started giving her evidence last Wednesday.
