Bakoteh Annex Teachers Team Receives a Boost

Bakoteh Annex Lower Basic School Teachers football team recently received an amount of D2000 from their UK based friends who are long-standing friends of the School for the past years.

This gesture was disclosed to the teaching staff, by their Gambian counterpart, Mr. Lamin Sarr, himself a teacher at the school. This intervention was presented by Mr. Sarr to the school team on behalf of his UK friend Ali and colleagues.

In a brief but precise speech to the teachers Mr. Sarr

assured his colleagues that any help from his friends abroad will be communicated to them. He said the amount of money given to the school team would be used to buy football jerseys since the school team lack football jerseys.

A number of teachers at the BakotehAnnexLowerBasicSchool who spoke to Pointsports described Mr. Sarr as a genuine friend of the school.

Moreover, the teachers described Mr. Sarr as someone who is very committed, trustworthy and dedicated, one who puts the interest of his students first before anything. Teachers also said Mr. Sarr has a sense of belonging that puts his students’ concern in high priority, and they called on him and his friends abroad to continue their good work for the students. Teachers promised that the money donated will be properly utilised for the purpose for which it is meant.
