The Gambia international defender, Abdou Jammeh (T-Boy) is trying out for a move to the Belgian second division side, SK Lierse, after the prospect of a stay with his Russian club, Torpedo Moscow, fell through, Observer Sports has reliably gathered.

The 22-year-old former Steve Biko player was until January 2008 an active player of Torpedo Moscow, where he started 17 matches last season including 15 starts. A regular in Gambia Scorpions line-up, Jammeh starred for the Russian side FC Tekstilshchik-Telekom Ivanovo in 2007 season before making a switch to Torpedo Moscow who were relegated last season.

The rocky defender also had a successful stint with the Tunisian side, ES Zarzis, where he started his professional career in 2005. In 2007, SK Lierse signed two Gambian players in Assan Jatta and Mustapha Jarju on a two -year deal worth Euro150,000 (one hundred and fifty thousand euro) from Steve Biko FC.

While Assan Jatta failed to adapt to life at the club, his comrade Mustapha Tobabou went ahead to establish himself as one of the club's best signings. His incredible display during his two-year contract with Lierse, who were eventually  relegated to second division, was rewarded with a quick move to another Belgian first division side, RAEC Mons, where he signed a three-year deal last season.
