7,000 Euros for Sukuta UBS

Sukuta Upper Basic School, on Wednesday benefited from a donation of 7,000 Euros from Mr. Holger Schneider, Chairman of the Mwormerland-Sukuta Friendship Association based in Germany.

The amount is earmarked for the reconstruction of the school library and building of a new Assembly Hall.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony held at the school grounds in sukuta, Saja W. D. Sanneh, Principal of the school said the link between his institution and the association dates back to a long time and since then they have received a lot of assistance from them.

According to Mr. Sanneh, the association has built classroom blocks, a computer lab, and library and provides a photocopier machine for the school.

For his part, Mr. Holger Schneider, revealed that their cooperation with the school started in1988 and since then significant achievements have been made so far.

Ousman Mamakeh Bojang, Chairman of the Parent Teachers Association, (PTA) thanked Mr. Schneider for his efforts in developing the School.

Other speakers at the ceremony included Momodou Cham Alkalo of Sukuta and Rohey Silla, Headmistress of Sukuta Lower Basic School.
