More gestures for the Presidential medical treatment

The State House Women Mosque Commitee on Monday extended their samaritanism to the Presidential Medical Treatment Programme.

The women led by Ajaratou Adama Jobe, president of the commitee, donated one thousand dalasis in support of the Gambian leader, President Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh’s Treatment Programme.

In presenting the donation, Ajaratou Adama Jobe expressed delight and confidence in the treatment the Gambian leader is rendering to the sick in The Gambia. According to Mrs Jobe, the presidential medical treatment programme has reduced the burden on the out patient departments of the major health facilities in the country.

In receiving the gesture, Dr Tamsir Mbowe, director general of the programme thanked the commitee members for the donation.

He noted that thousands of lives have been saved since the start of the treatment programme. He urged other organisations to emulate the gesture.

Dr Mbowe also commended the Gambian leader, President Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh for coming up with a treatment programme to cure the world’s most dreaded diseases.
