Delegates start arriving As Gambia hosts CGF General Assembly

Delegates have started arriving for the 2008 Commonwealth Games Federation General Assembly to be held in The Gambia between November 18 and 21.

Over 80 delegates from 71 member Commonwealth Games Federations will participate in the Banjul high-profile meeting, which will be coordinated by the Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC).

George Gomez, executive director of the National Olympic Committee, told Observer Sports that the majority of the delegates have arrived Banjul evening ahead of the annual assembly which will kick off on Tuesday at the Kairaba Beach Hotel.

The delegates, during the three-day gathering, will discuss on a number of pertinent issues with the main focus on the successful organization of the 2010 Commonwealth Games scheduled to take place in Delhi, India.
