GFA set date for pre-season meeting

Tuesday, January 29, 2008
The annual pre-season meeting for divisional clubs has been rescheduled to Saturday, February 9, at the GFA secretariat housed at the Independence Stadium Bakau, a press release from the national football governing body has revealed.

Due to the national set settal, the traditional meeting that gathers key stakeholders in football was shifted from Saturday, February 2,  to next Saturday, February 9.

The Football Association has urged each affiliated club to send in one representative for the gathering that is expected to dwell mainly on issues pertaining to the 2008 league season, due to kick-off in February.

Making the meeting a keenly-awaited one is the fact that it will also decide the fate of Steve Biko and Sea View who were relegated to the Second Division last season.

The Bakau sides are fighting toe-to-toe to ensure that the proposal for the increment of divisional clubs to twelve does not hit the rocks again.
