Want to know about the Ayizo, Torri, and about Allada

Hello,

I am a black Caribbean man from the island of Barbados.

I recently got back some results from a DNA test and it said that on my father's side I share genes with the Ayizo and Torri people of Benin and with the Fante and Ga people of Ghana. I am very familiar with the tribes of Ghana which I visited in 2002, but I do not know much about Benin.

I have learnt that the Ayizo (or Aizo) live around Allada, and that Torri is probably the Ayizo-Tori dialect of the Ayizo language. I have heard of Allada through research on African history which I have done over the years.

I want to learn as much as I can about the Ayizo and the Torri, and also about Allada.
