President calls for rethink on education

PRESIDENT Kgalema Motlanthe yesterday called for the mismatch between the countrys economic needs and its education to be addressed . Knowledge production has to be geared to addressing our fundamental areas of concern as a country, said Motlanthe during his address at the fifth ZK Matthews Memorial Lecture at the University of Fort Hare in Alice.
