Old Potch to close for day

Sowetans must brace themselves for a major traffic jam on Sunday, the Joburg metro police said yesterday. The Old Potch Road will be a no-go area from 6am to 5pm because it will be closed for a motor race launch. Motorists travelling in and out of Soweto are advised to use alternative routes, which will be marked. The traffic congestion will be at its peak at midday, spokesman Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said. Penwell Dlamini 28 November 2008
