Loud applause at Yengeni acquittal

FORMER ANC Chief Whip Tony Yengeni was acquitted of drunken driving yesterday because two police offers willfully sabotaged their own case, said magistrate Ricardo Phillips. Loud applause broke out in Goodwood court when Yengeni was pronounced not guilty. Yengeni was on his way home from a party when he was stopped by police in September.
