Cheaper food for Christmas

CONSUMERS can look forward to some financial relief this festive season as declining inflation figures point to a gradual drop in food prices. The Dispatch has found the average prices of some commodities have already started dropping. A 750ml bottle of cooking oil R18 at its peak price in August is now selling for R14, while five litres has dropped from about R106 to R76. A 2.5kg bag of bread flour is down by R4 to R21, while a packet of pasta has gone from about R9.60 to R8.70. Bags of 2kg...
