Wisdom Nursery holds 1st graduation ceremony

Wisdom Nursery School in Serrekunda last Saturday held its first ever graduation ceremony at the school grounds.

In his welcoming remarks, Mr. Emmanuel Omorodion, Proprietor and Head teacher of the School, said the school was established in September 2005, with a total enrolment of 80 students out of which 15 are graduating.

For his part, Morlai Camara, Chairman of the school’s Board of Governors, described wisdom as center of knowledge, noting that the school is a place where quality education can be achieved. He advised the parents support their children to continue their education.
 
Amat Bah, Senior Education Officer Region One, the guest speaker of the occasion said, early childhood development especially girls’ education is a priority in the 2004-2015 education policy. He revealed that government will enroll about 50% ECD education by 2015 especially in the rural areas.
 
He then advised theoutgoing students to respect their parents and challenged them to continue the good efforts at the Lower Basic School.

Present at the occasion were, the Acting Mayor of Kanifing Municipal Council Alieu Momar Njie, Musa Jabbi Education Officer Region One, among others.

Sally Gaye, a student, delivered the vote of thanks.
