Two Chiefs Appointed in North Bank

Latest developments in the local government arena have seen the appointment of two chiefs over the weekend, reliable sources from official circles disclosed to this paper.

Modou Kenda Dibba, a 72-year-old native of Salikenni, now replaces Kabiro Kanteh, a native of Njaba Kunda. Mr Dibba’s appointment is said to have appealed to a lot of people of the district, who see him as a good replacement on account of his experience in the chieftaincy institution.

In a related development Foday Sarr Jammeh was appointed in place of Sambou Jang Jagne of Upper Baddibou.
