Wednesday, June 25, 2008
Ousman Tasbasi, managing director of the Timber and Furniture Company, recently donated timber worth over D5,000.00 to  families affected by the recent storm in Jeshwang at a ceremony held at the company’s headquarters in Old Jeshwang.

The gesture is part of his personal assistance to victims of such natural disasters.

Presenting the materials, Mr Tasbasi reaffirmed his willingness to always support victims of such natural disasters, adding that the assistance is not specific.

“I will continue to donate to mosques and other institutions if the need arises”, he buttressed.

He then acknowledged the support Gambians have rendered to him over the years which according to him, resulted to his desire to also assist victims of such nature.

Receiving the items, Tijan Barry, on behalf of the families, described the assistant as a big relief and timely.  He thanked the donor for his timely intervention and assured him that the materials will be put to good use.
