COMIUM to Launch Groundbreaking Marketing Campaign

Following 90 days of existence, COMIUM, the newest GSM operator, is reported to be on the verge of consolidating its position with a groundbreaking official launch of a marketing campaign for its prepaid NAKAM platform on Sunday, 2nd September, at the Palma Rima Beach hotel.

The launch of the SIM card, which will take the form of a mega musical jamboree featuring popular Gambian personalities, will last from 12 noon to 12 midnight.

According to insiders at COMIUM, the event will be a family fun day bringing together under one roof big time celebrities, musicians, models and the wider Gambian public.

It would be recalled that COMIUM joined the cellular communications sector of The Gambia on 27 May 2007 but have since then been seemingly content with playing second fiddle to its older competitors. This even prompted much speculation and theories suggesting that the new GSM outfit would not be able to stand the test of time in this highly competitive telecom market.

However if what an official at COMIUM said is anything to go by, then they will indeed prove their critics and cynics wrong as they reportedly have a host of innovative packages lined up for their clientele.

Meanwhile, the outfit has in fact begun what it called FACE OF THE GAMBIA, a sort of beauty pageant that is in the offing.
