Tuesday, December 11, 2007

Momodou Saidou Jallow, a Guinean national, was last week sentenced to spend six months in jail and would be deported after serving his jail term.

He was also given an option of paying a court fine of D2000.

Momodou was a night watchman at the residence of one Muhammed Hydara in Kotu but had broken into the store of Muhammed in September of this year and stole thirteen drums of paint there-in. “He was later arrested and taken to Kotu Police Station,” said prosecutor 493 Badjie.

The case was presided over by Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara of Bundung Magistrates’ Court.
