What’s on- New modelling agency in town

A new modelling agency called Yaws Modelling Agency recently held its first audition at a ceremony held at the Paradise Suites Hotel in Kololi.

Mrs Awa Conateh Mboob, proprietor of Yaws Modelling Agency told What’s On that she was a model in Europe as well as a fashion designer for many years adding  that she also specialised in other areas like event planning  and interior decorations.

 “I have been organising fashion shows and have been part of many beauty pageant shows. This was why I felt it necessary to set up this initiative, as it is part of my carrier,” she said.

Mrs Conateh Mboob further pointed out that the agency was set up to meet the demands and dreams of young talented Gambians who have chosen modelling as their profession.

For her part, Jonna Jokela, co-partner of Mrs Conateh Mboob, a professional model and makeup artist said:  “We are very happy to set-up this agency considering the significance of the industry. I was involved in teaching modelling in countries like Finland and Holland”.
