Sub-Regional Women’s Rights Seminar Ends

A three-day sub regional seminar for the adoption of an Advocacy on women’s Right’s ended last Saturday at the Paradise Suites Hotel in Kololi.

Addressing the closing ceremony, Honorable Abdou Karim Savage Chief Justice of The Gambia applauded the participants for successful deliberations. He called for massive sensitization of women in the rural areas, as well as lawmakers, on the rights of women.

He also praised Gambian women for their numerous achievements.

Mrs. Aminata Dibba, Director of ECOWAS Gender Development Centre thanked the all those who contributed to the success of the event.

Mrs. Barbara Sackey from Ghana and a Lawyer with the West African Women Lawyers Association gave the vote of thanks.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Her lordship Justice Aminata Malle Sanogo president ECOWAS court of justice.
