Four UDP Supporters Arrested in CRR

Four family members of the UDP candidate for the Karantaba Ward, Ebrima Touray, were on Tuesday night arrested in Karantaba Tabokoto in Central River Region, this paper has been informed.

The arrested include Dembo Touray, (Ebrima Touray’s stepfather), Fatou Sisaho, (his pregnant wife), Saihou Touray, (uncle to Mr Ebrima Touray), and Ba Lamin Touray, a 14-year-old grade 8 student.

According to eyewitness report, eight armed paramilitary officers picked the four up and took them to the Karantaba Police Station, where they are being held up to the time of going to press.

When contacted, Lawyer Ousainou Darboe, the UDP leader, confirmed the arrest of the four.

Meanwhile, the reason(s) for their arrest is yet to be established.
