Nigerians to Work on President Jammeh’s Farm

In what could be described as a show of appreciation to President Jammeh following the Alien cards waiver for Nigerians living in The Gambia, the Nigerian community will on Friday the 31st August through September 1st visit Kanilai to work on the farm of President Jammeh.

According to a press release from the Nigerian community in The Gambia, made available to this paper, this is a further appreciative gesture to President Jammeh and the people of The Gambia on the waiver of Alien cards come January 2008.

“All persons willing to make this journey are expected to assemble with their working implements, at the Nigeria High Commission Office, Garba Jahumpa Road, Bakau, where the Nigerian Community Executive and ethnic heads will handle the coordination of transportation. Departure time is 2:30pm immediately after the Friday Jumat prayers,” the press release concluded.
