‘Violent’ woman docked

One middle-aged woman, Ejatou Njie, was recently arraigned before the Honorable Master of the High Court, Aminata Saho Ceesay, who is presiding over the Bundung Magistrates Court on behalf of Acting Principal Magistrate Kumba Sillah Camara, for the assault.

The accused, Ejatou Njie, on 14 November 2008, at Bundung in Kanifing, is said to have wilfully and unlawfully stabbed one Fatou Jobe on her left hand.
The accused pleaded not guilty. The Honorable Master granted her bail in the sum of D20,000 with two Gambian sureties.

The case was adjourned to 13 January 2009. In another development, one Hadin Ndoye was also arraigned before the Honourable Master of the High Court for wilful damage.
According to the particulars of the offence, Hadin Ndoye at Churchill’s Town wilfully and unlawfully broke the windscreen of a vehicle with registration number BJL 5813 E with a stone. The windscreen is valued at D5000.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge while the case was adjourned to 12 January 2009 for hearing. Corporal 438 Njie represented the IGP.
