The robbery case involving one Modou Sanneh and Ebou Cham before the Kanifing Magistrates Court did not proceed yesterday due to the lack of legal representation for the accused persons.

The duo had earlier pleaded not guilty to the charge. When the case was called yesterday, the presiding magistrate, Magistrate Sagarr Jahateh, said that the court will write to the master of the High Court requesting for the duo to be provided with legal aid.

According to the charge sheet, Modou Sanneh and Ebou Cham on October 18 2008, at a street in Dippa Kunda - armed with a knife - violently robbed one Fatou Camara of her Nokia mobile phone.

The case was adjourned to January 22.  First Class 319 Jobe stood in for the IGP.
