Cutlass wielder to know his fate

One Abdou Touray who was charged with being armed in public before the Kanifing Magistrates Court presided over by Magistrate Sagarr Jahateh, will know his fate on the 26th of January 2009.

Abdou Touray, who appeared before the court last Monday, had pleaded guilty to the charge of going armed in public contrary to Section 79 of the criminal code.  He was said to have been found in possession of a cutlass without any authority at Serekunda on January 16, 2009.

The police prosecutor, Inspector Touray applied for the case to be adjourned to enable him to check their files to determine if the accused (Abdou) is a first time offender or not. Abdou was sent back to remand.
