Thursday, September 11, 2008

Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbacke of the Kanifing Magistrates Court, yesterday, issued a six-month restraining order to two young girls, Ya Touray Nyass and Oumie Nyass, to restrain from harassing one Ndey Fatou Sallah and her children.

The duo faced the charge of constantly harassing the complainant and her children.
Strongly emphasising the order, Magistrate Mbacke told the two girls that the order should be obeyed and if violated, the culprit will be liable to a custodial sentence of two months imprisonment with hard labour.

He maintained that the accused persons should not in any way give the complainant cause to complain, either by action, words, conduct or gesture for a period of six months.
However, he also advised the complainant to desist from any act that might have caused problems between them.
